Doug Chayka's work has received recognition from the Society of Illustrators of New York and Los Angeles, and has appeared in Communication Arts and Step by Step graphics Magazine. His clients include Boyds Mills Press, Clarion Books, Eerdmans Books for Young Readers, Cricket Magazine, The Nation, The New York Times, The Washington Post, IBM, and many others.

After graduating from the Rochester Institute of technology in 1996, Doug traveled extensively in Europe and from 2000 to 2002 he studied painting and printmaking as a Fulbright scholar in Germany at The Berlin University of the Arts. Doug has taught illustration at Pratt Institute, City College of New York, Rochester Institute of Technology and exhibits his work both in the United States and abroad. He currently lives in Sarasota, Florida.
